In 1994, our daughter Hannah was born. During her delivery, a knot in the cord deprived her of oxygen leaving her with severe brain damage. For the five years we were blessed to have Hannah with us, our lives were filled with appointments and therapies of every kind. Through this experience, we learned that kindness and understanding from medical providers make all the difference for parents and caregivers. Hannah’s Place was born out of our desire to share the love and care we received with other families who find themselves in a similar situation. Hannah’s Place truly is our labor of love.

Since starting at Hannah’s Place in 2022 I have come to appreciate more than ever the challenges faced by the special needs families that we serve. Growing up as Hannah’s older brother I understood that our life with Hannah was different from most of my peers, but I never realized just how much my parents had to sacrifice to care for all their children. At Hannah’s Place we strive to put the needs of our patients and their families first above all else. Hannah, even with all her limits, brought so much joy and love in her short time with us and I view Hannah’s Place as an opportunity to build a legacy that Hannah didn’t have the chance to provide. I am grateful to play a part in bringing that legacy of love, care, and respect to the world.
I love playing with old film cameras! It's a hobby of mine.
